Bill Jones
Bill Jones, a fourth-generation native Floridian, brings deep local roots and a lifelong passion for real estate to every client interaction. Growing up on the waters of Charlotte Harbor, Bill spent his early years commercial fishing alongside his father, uncles, and grandfather—learning the value of hard work, resilience, and community from a young age.
At 19, driven by a sense of duty, Bill enlisted in the United States Marine Corps during the Gulf War. He served with distinction as a Demolition Instructor for the 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion at Camp Lejeune, gaining leadership and problem-solving skills that would later prove invaluable in his professional career.
After completing his military service, Bill returned home to support his mother, who had recently lost her husband and was running Barnes and Phillips Real Estate. He began in the company’s property management division, overseeing maintenance operations. Encouraged by his mother, Bill earned his real estate license—and soon discovered a true passion not just for managing properties, but for helping people buy and sell homes.
Recognizing a gap in the market, Bill established the Sales Division of Barnes and Phillips Real Estate, allowing the company to offer a full spectrum of services including sales, rentals, and property management. Shortly thereafter, following the unexpected passing of his mother, Bill committed to carrying on her legacy. He pursued further education and became a Licensed Real Estate Broker at the age of 29, guiding the company with a renewed sense of purpose and vision.
Today, under Bill’s leadership, Barnes and Phillips Real Estate continues to serve the community with integrity, expertise, and a comprehensive approach to all aspects of real estate.
When he’s not helping clients, Bill enjoys spending time outdoors with his family—fishing, hunting, or working on welding projects in his shop.
