Jacob Sheingold is an attorney at LaMarche Safranko Law. Raised in Bethlehem, New York, Jacob received his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from SUNY Oswego (2020) wherein he became a Teaching Assistant and Peer Advisor as well as co-authored, “Understanding More Than 50 Years of Mass Public Shootings as a Function of Routine Activities.”
Jacob joined the Albany County District Attorney’s Office in 2021 during his second year of law school at Albany Law School. In 2022, Jacob became a Criminal Law Associate and subsequently earned his Juris Doctorate in 2023. Jacob became an Assistant District Attorney in 2024. Throughout his time with the Albany County District Attorney’s Office, he prosecuted all offenses varying from traffic tickets to homicides. In 2025, Jacob joined the Special Victim Unit wherein he assisted victims of Sex Crimes find justice. He also worked diligently to revitalize the Animal Cruelty Task Force to bring focus to crimes against animals.
